How does Tedds calculate the thermal factor, C_t?
Solution
Section 7.3.2 of ASCE7 states that the thermal factor, C_t, shall be determined from Table 7-3.

Below is an image of the Tedds interface and the Site Details interface. The options available in the Thermal condition drop list correlate with the options available in Table 7-3 of ASCE7. Tedds will then automatically assign the correct C_t value based on the selection you make.
