Steel member fire resistance design (EN1993)

New calculation which checks the capacity of a single steel member subject to bending to maintain its required mechanical resistance in case of fire during the required time of exposure. The member being designed may be unprotected (bare steel) or protected and may be supporting a composite or concrete slab, i.e. the member is only exposed on three sides. In accordance with EN1993 and the national annex for the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, Finland, Sweden, Norway or the recommended Eurocode values.

Other updates

Batch design

Enhanced to include examples for Steel member fire resistance design (EN1993).

Drain & sewer design

[TEDDS-3195]1 - Enhanced to increase the reported output value of the fall along the length of the drain/sewer to three decimal places.

Masonry wall panel design (BS5628)

[TEDDS-3278, TEDDS-3244]1 - Fixed undefined variable error 'M_{RD...}'.

Retaining wall analysis & design (EN1992/EN1996/EN1997)

[TEDDS-3267]1 - Refactored most pages of the user interface to use custom dialog templates rather than split/span controls.
Enhanced all dialogs to support cancelling.

Rolling load analysis

[TEDDS-3228]1 - Fixed the sketch in the user interface sometimes showing the beam sketch when the selected preview context is for a specific span.

Steel simple connection design (EN1993)

[TEDDS-3209]1 - Fix errors to summary output.

Steel member analysis & design (EN1993)

[TEDDS-3192]1 - Adjusted tolerance requirements for co-linearity of members in 2D analysis models.

Timber beam analysis & design (EN1995)

[TEDDS-3271]1 - Corrected calculation of the torsional moment of inertia, Itor.

Timber member analysis & design (EN1995)

[TEDDS-3022]1 - Corrected calculation of the torsional moment of inertia, Itor.

Validation added to the input for section depth and breadth in member design calculation to ensure depth is never less than overall breadth of section.

Wind loading (EN1991)

[TEDDS-3233]1 - Fixed code reference in output title.

USA

Updates

RC beam design (ACI318)

[TEDDS-3356]1 - Fixed backwards compatibility missing calc item error when re-running a calculation with a version before 3.2.00.

Retaining wall analysis & design (ACI318/MSJC)

[TEDDS-3256]1 - Fixed the layout of each page of the user interface to ensure that the labels on all controls are fully visible.
Enhanced all dialogs to support cancelling.
[TEDDS 947]1 - Corrected the expression used to calculate the passive pressure coefficient, KPE, used under seismic loading conditions.
[TEDDS 3205]1 - Amended UI to allow calculation to proceed to design phase under seismic loading conditions when the Mononobe-Okobe equations are invalid and user-defined soil properties are selected.

Rolling load analysis

[TEDDS-3228]1 - Fixed the sketch in the user interface sometimes showing the beam sketch when the selected preview context is for a specific span.

Steel sheet piling design
