Pile analysis (EN1997)

This video demonstrates the Tekla Tedds Pile analysis calculation to the Eurocode. The calculation undertakes a static analysis of the resistance capacity of single piles, driven or drilled, in multiple geomaterial strata. Steel, concrete, or timber piles can be analysed for compressive and tensile axial loads and lateral loads. Lateral load analysis is for short rigid piles only. The calculation checks the design of braced and unbraced, slender and non-slender rectangular and circular columns. The calculation can be used in three basic ways: to check the capacity of the specified column against the specified axial load and end moments. to produce the interaction diagram about both axis for the specified column. to determine the design bending moments for the specified column, axial load and end moments.

Column base plate design (EN1993)

The calculation checks the design of solid timber, flitch, glulam and LVL members subject to major axis bending, shear and axial tension or compression. Wind loading (EN1991)

The calculation determines the net wind pressures and net forces on the walls and roofs of a building that is rectangular in plan. The roof shape can be a flat roof with either sharp, curved, mansard or parapet eaves, a monopitch roof, a duopitch roof or a hipped roof. Using Tekla Tedds for batch design

This video demonstrates using Tekla Tedds for batch design. In the Excel work book the library and item name of the calculation to be used (Bearing pressures for rectangular footings) are entered and then the input and output variables for the calculation are defined on a new work sheet. Firstly a single design case is defined and the calculations normal user interface is shown. Then five additional design cases are defined and the batch design is run with the calculations user interface hidden.
