Steel sheet piling design (USA)

This video demonstrates using Tekla Tedds for steel sheet piling design (USA). The calculation checks the stability of either a cantilever or a propped/tied steel sheet pile wall by determining the required minimum embedment length and calculates the minimum required plastic section modulus per metre run of wall. Where appropriate the calculation will determine the tie/prop force.
The design can be carried out by specifying combinations where partial factors are used to determine design values for the soil and loading or to the method prescribed in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Design of sheet pile walls.
